St. John’s, Antigua – July 2026 – The Metropolitan University College of Medicine (MUCM Antigua) successfully hosted its much-awaited Annual Sports Day on campus, bringing together students, faculty, and staff for a full day of energy, teamwork, and healthy competition.
Held from July 22nd to 24th, 2026, the event kicked off with Table Tennis qualifiers on July 22nd-23rd, followed by the main Sports Day on Friday, July 24th. The day featured 12 competitive games with 39 medals and a championship trophy at stake.
The schedule included Track Events like the 100m Race, 400m Race, and Relay Race; Fun Races including Sack Race, Three-Legged Race, Lime and Spoon Race, and Wheelbarrow Race; and Team Sports Block featuring Dodgeball and Tug of War. A unique highlight was ‘Guess the Condition’ – a charades-style medical game that combined learning with fun.
The day concluded with the Awards & Prize Giving Ceremony honoring Best Athlete, Best Team, and Best Medical Minds, followed by closing remarks.
“At MUCM Antigua, we believe in nurturing resilient, well-rounded physicians,” said a representative from MUCM Antigua. “Sports Day is not just about winning medals. It’s about building leadership, collaboration, and mental wellness – qualities every future doctor needs.”
