Student Housing
Student housing and Transportation University dorms are available to all students. University dorms allow for single occupancy per room or double occupancy per room. Students wishing to stay outside the University dorms will be provided the information of reliable real estate agents. Student Services representatives will advise the student in matters of signing a lease agreement with the house owners. University authorities will, in no way, be responsible for any dispute on account of accommodations rented by the students on their own.
Accommodation
Fully furnished with single bed (Single occupancy) or double bed (double occupancy) study table, chair, closet, and small refrigerator. Each room has its own bathroom Water, internet, electricity, garbage collection. Air conditioning Laundry services available (on campus pick-up and drop-off / price not included) Self-laundry service with access to washing machine and dryer Gym Meal plans available (not included).
Facilities
The department provides free airport shuttles for the students which include pick-up at the start of the semester and drop-off at the end of the semester. Transportation is provided for community clinics and other related activities.
Circumference
Students are given information and support regarding island life. Information regarding recreational activities is available with the student services. They are directed towards appropriate banking facilities, car rental agencies, grocery stores, and restaurants when required. Orientation contains information regarding the above activities. Any support needed by the prospective students during the process of admission will be provided by the Student Services.
Types of Accommodation
Dormitory accommodation is offered at the following monthly rates:
- Single Room: $1,000 USD per month
- Double Room: $600 USD per month (per student)
- Triple Room: $500 USD per month (per student)
The cost covers the room, basic utilities, and the items provided upon arrival. For additional details regarding housing, students may contact the administration office.

- Married students and students with children are advised to seek off-campus housing.
- No pets are allowed on campus.

What to Bring or Buy Locally
We want your move-in experience to be as smooth as possible. The items below are not provided by the dormitory, but don’t worry most can be easily purchased locally in Antigua after you arrive.
You may bring these items from home or purchase them on the island:

1. Can I live off-campus?
Yes, students have the option to live off-campus in privately rented accommodation in Antigua. However, we recommend on-campus dormitory living, especially for first-year students, as it provides a safer, more convenient, and community-oriented environment close to classrooms and facilities.
2. Is internet/Wi-Fi included in the dormitory?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available in the dormitory. Students are encouraged to bring their own devices (laptop, tablet) to support their studies.
3. Are meals provided in the dormitory?
Meals are not included in the dormitory fee. Students can purchase a hot plate, where they can prepare their own meals. There are also several affordable dining options and restaurants near the campus in Antigua.
4. What is the monthly/semester cost of dormitory accommodation?

6. Is the dormitory safe and secure?
Yes, the MUCM dormitory is located on or near campus and maintains security measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students. Antigua is widely regarded as one of the safest islands in the Caribbean, and our campus community is welcoming and supportive.
7. Are male and female students housed separately?
The dormitory is a co-ed housing facility, meaning both male and female students reside in the same building. However, male and female students are not housed in the same rooms. Separate room assignments are maintained to ensure the comfort and privacy of all students.
8. Can married couples or students with families live in the dormitory?
The dormitory is designed for individual student accommodation. Married couples or students with families are encouraged to explore off-campus housing options in Antigua, which are available at various price points. Our admissions team can provide guidance on suitable off-campus housing arrangements.
9. What should I bring when I arrive?
Upon arrival, your room will be provided with 1 bedsheet, 2 pillowcases, 2 pillows, and 1 refrigerator. You will need to bring or purchase locally the following:
- Kitchen items (hot plate, microwave, utensils, pans, plates, cups, cutlery)
- Additional bedding (extra sheets, pillowcases, blanket or duvet, hangers)
- Bathroom essentials (towels, bath mats, personal toiletries)
- Cleaning supplies (mop, broom, cleaning products)
Most of these items are readily available at local stores in Antigua at affordable prices, so you do not need to pack everything from home.
10. Where can I buy household items after I arrive in Antigua?
Antigua has several well-stocked supermarkets and general stores where you can purchase everything you need at affordable prices. Our student services team can provide a local shopping guide upon arrival to help you get settled in quickly.
11. Is there a laundry facility available?
Yes. Washers and dryers are available on campus for students to use.
12. Can I have guests or visitors in my dormitory room?
Yes, guests and/or visitors are permitted. However, if a guest intends to stay overnight, students must request permission in advance from the dormitory administration.
13. What happens if I have a maintenance issue in my room?
Students should report any maintenance issues to the dormitory management team as soon as possible. We aim to resolve all maintenance requests promptly to ensure a comfortable living environment for all students.
14. Is there a curfew or dormitory rules I should be aware of?
There is no curfew for students. However, all visitors must leave the dormitory by 10:00 PM. Students are expected to follow all dormitory policies and maintain a respectful and quiet living environment for others.
15. Are there common areas or study spaces in the dormitory?
Yes. Students have access to the library and one classroom that is kept open for studying. These spaces are available for quiet study and academic work.
