The 2024 ECFMG Accreditation Requirement — Why It Matters
Critical Update for International Medical Students From 2024, ECFMG requires that all international medical graduates must have studied at a medical school accredited by a WFME-recognized agency in order to be eligible for ECFMG certification. What this means: If your medical school is not accredited by a WFME-recognized body, you will not be eligible to sit the USMLE or enter a US residency program regardless of when you graduated.
